Native Plants

We do grow native plants of Wisconsin. Many of our varieties are on the Barron County Lakeshore Plant Recommendation List provided by the Barron County Soil & Water Conservation Department. Some of our varieties include New England Aster, Pale Indian Plantain, Switch Grass, Purple Prairie Clover, Prairie Blazingstar, Golden Alexanders and Great Blue Lobelia.

DeWayne's Landscaping

DeWayne has 33 years in the landscaping business. There are very few landscapers that pay attention to the little things that matter more than DeWayne does. The little things such as proper drainage, perfect curves and the right look.

As with most landscaping projects, one of the most important steps is determing the water drainage away from the foundation. On this project there were three points of interest. The height of the surrounding yard, and two existing doors, one lower than the other. IT'S ALL ABOUT DRAINAGE.

We specialize in lakeshore property, doing lakeshore restorations with the Envirolok bag and native plants. Other areas on lakeshores that we design are the no mow zones. Rain gardens work well in those areas along with perennials or native plants. Don't forget, there is always room for more trees and shrubs.

• Sod - Measurements are 18 inches X 6 feet = 1 square yard. Highland sod grown in existing topsoil. Call a day ahead or before 9:00 am to order. Sod is left in the field when cut, you can drive along side of it and load it yourself. Sod should not be mowed until rooted, do not let it dry out until rooted.
• Black Poly - 6 ml. thick. Sold by the foot.
• Decorative Boulders - Some real beauties.
• Decorative Rock - Byron Tan, Dresser Trap, River Rock, and Rose Quartz. Sold by the ton.

• DeWitt Landscape Fabric - 3,4,6,or 8 feet wide. Sold by the foot.

• Envirolok Bags - Bags are for sale. Bags can be purchased filled with soil. Please order ahead of time.
• Grass Seed
• Garden Soil - Sold by the bobcat scoop.
• Mulch - Natural or stained Gold or Red. Sold by the cubic yard.
• Typar - Brick underlayment. Three or six feet wide. Sold by the foot.
