DeWayne's Nursery was established in the fall of 1976 on what was a small dairy farm. There were very few trees on the property at that time but over the years DeWayne has changed the landscape in a big way. ( The 100's of small trees in the background are now 25- 30 feet tall.)

Twenty acres of land was developed into a sod farm in 1983. That same year DeWayne started his nursery business and his first greenhouse went up. In 1986 the big red barn was renovated and became a gift shop.

There was a major setback in 1995 when a fire totally destroyed the barn, but DeWayne didn't give up. The gift shop was totally rebuilt, a new floral business was added and he put up a new greenhouse.

DeWayne is always improving the nursery with constant additions to his Dewey doers list. This year on his list: New fieldstone planter, gates & sign by road. A new brick sidewalk in front of the retail greenhouse. New plastic on three greenhouses. More display areas for hanging baskets. A new chimney and furnace for another heated greenhouse. There are now a total of eight greenhouses.

DeWayne (and his kids) are proud to say that he has just completed his 33rd year in the landscape business and would like to Thank everyone for doing business with him through the years.
